Ahh... The Aliens was one of the first scifi films to use futuristic projectile weapons instead of "rayguns" depicted in previous scifi films. Those pulse rifles are actually some of the coolest scifi-weapons ever.
I'd like to make a suggestion for the "Chicago typewriter" variant. The Tommy Gun had both a drum and clip capability. Since you've got the clip, let's see the drum attached. The Sniper rifle looks like it would beat the Morita variant in the "other" bug hunt movie! The MG looks like a SAW compared to the M56. There's nothing wrong with the original classics, tho!
Nice Artwork, all in all!
Thanks. The movie prop was actually started from a tommy gun design, so that's where the likeness comes from. But honestly, from a non isometric perspective, a drum wouldn't look much different than the clip.
I was going to comment on that, nicely done - as the original prop was a combo Thompson and I think a SPAS-12 or another shotgun (or mix of 2?) it was very fitting and clever to go the Thomson style foregrip!
true, but nothing wrong with a nod to the source. Check out the United States Colonial Marines Technical Manual, came out in the 90s. Awesome book from the creators. they don't mention as many mods for the M41 as all that, kind of pointless going that crazy as they have a proper sniper rifle, a squad assault weapon in the smart gun etc.
